Below are a few questions to ask yourself or your bed-partner. If you answer yes to 2 or more of these questions you should ask your physician about sleep apnoea.
Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) is the most common and effective treatment of OSA.
CPAP therapy is administered through a mask that seals over the nose, mouth or both nose and mouth.
The CPAP unit supplies a gentle air pressure that splints the upper airway and prevents obstruction. This allows the person to breathe uninterrupted during sleep.
